Eileen Cahill
Eileen Cahill is the Research Officer for Film & Animation, Art, Design, Psychology, Creative Technology, Humanities, and Entrepreneurship. She works in the Directorate of Creativity, Innovation + Research at IADT.
Her role involves managing the day to day operations within the Research Office, where she is responsible for assisting in funding programme requirements, budgetary activity, planning, development, administration, design and communication, event co-ordination, the research magazine, project management, the MA and PHD students, and compliance with institutional reporting and policy objectives. She is involved with advancing engagement and collaboration of research and innovation, between multiple internal and external stakeholders. Ranging from students and academic staff, through to faculty and institute administration, to external funding agencies and industry, both nationally, and internationally.
Eileen completed a Masters in Design for Change at IADT in 2022. She is a member of the XR Research Group, focussing on virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality projects. Eileen has a special interest in research and storytelling in sustainable fashion in Web 3.0.
Prior to joining IADT, Eileen spent many years in the commercial space developing brands and products within Buying and Merchandising in the UK, USA, and Europe for some of the worlds most recognisable and respected retailers.
Eileen is a key part of the team that is responsible for driving IADT’s Centre of Excellence in Research.
