Higgle – Enterprise Ireland, Innovation Voucher
IADT partnered with Higgle to transform a student-led concept into a fully functional digital platform supporting creative learning in primary school art education. Led by Louise Glynn and Seán Óg Durack Monks, the project developed a scalable, user-friendly CMS with subscription functionality, enabling teachers to access flexible and engaging creativity-focused resources. The collaboration helped position Higgle as an innovative platform making art education more accessible and inspiring.

Barterchain – Enterprise Ireland, Innovation Voucher
IADT collaborated with Barterchain to redesign and enhance its peer-to-peer exchange platform through a full UX/UI overhaul. Led by Gráinne Carroll and Anita Savić, the project improved usability, accessibility, and user engagement while introducing new premium community features to support a sustainable business model. The redesigned platform has since helped Barterchain secure funding to redevelop and relaunch the service.

Biscuit Factory Games – Enterprise Ireland, Innovation Voucher
IADT partnered with Biscuit Factory Games on an Innovation Voucher project to develop a production-ready antagonist concept and animation pipeline for an indie horror game. Led by Dr. Naoise Collins, the collaboration combined concept design, 3D asset development, and animation expertise to create high-quality, in-engine ready assets. The project strengthened the studio’s creative direction and commercial readiness, supporting its goal of launching original IP for international markets.

Laser Protection Adviser Ltd – Enterprise Ireland, Innovation Voucher
IADT collaborated with Laser Protection Adviser Ltd (LPA) to design and prototype engaging eLearning modules for laser safety training in healthcare settings. Led by Damien Byrne and Fionn McArdle, the project combined multimedia storytelling with pedagogical best practice to create interactive, clinically relevant training experiences. The resulting prototype framework provides LPA with a scalable foundation for developing engaging, regulatory-compliant educational content in the future.

Placements & Talent Pathways Case Study
In April 2025, IADT students took part in an industry immersion day at Accenture Song’s Dublin offices. After hearing presentations from company staff, interdisciplinary student teams worked on a real-world challenge for One Family, pitching their ideas and receiving professional feedback before one winning team was selected.

AI-AD is an AI-powered audio description tool developed by IADT academic Kieran Lynch to help content producers comply with the European Accessibility Act’s requirements for accessible media by June 2025.

The TU RISE IADT Elevate Programme hosted an XR Design Sprint bringing together enterprises and creative practitioners to explore real-world applications of immersive technologies through collaborative, hands-on innovation. Over five days, participants developed early-stage concepts across education, culture and creative industries, supported by design thinking and industry expertise.
The TU RISE Elevate team was delighted to attend Amplify 2026, hosted by the IRDG Innovation Network, where Aisling Cox and Dorota Zurek gained valuable insights into innovation, R&D and collaboration. Thank you to the IRDG team for delivering such an inspiring event.
