Innovation in Action: XR Design Sprint at IADT
TU RISE IADT Elevate XR Design Sprint: From Ideas to Immersive Innovation
Last week, the TU RISE IADT Elevate Programme hosted an intensive XR Design Sprint, bringing together a cohort of enterprises and creative practitioners to explore how immersive technologies can be applied to real-world product and process challenges.
Over five days, participants worked collaboratively to define challenges, map user experiences, explore new approaches, and develop concepts for future implementation. Projects explored a diverse range of applications for XR technologies, including accessible learning environments, immersive music experiences, and augmented reality storytelling for cultural and educational settings.
The sprint combined design thinking methodologies, peer learning, industry expertise, and hands-on exploration of immersive technologies to help participants move from early-stage ideas towards more clearly defined innovation pathways.
A huge thank you to all participants for their enthusiasm, openness, and willingness to share ideas and expertise throughout the week, and to IADT Dún Laoghaire lecturer, and Elevate Creation Bridge Lead, Robert Griffin for facilitating the programme.
The XR Design Sprint forms part of the TU RISE IADT Elevate Programme’s wider work to support enterprise engagement, innovation, and collaboration between industry and higher education.
