Andrew Edgar

Andrew Edgar is technical assistant for the ELEVATE programme. Andrew is a creative technician, audiovisual practitioner and artist-producer. Before joining the ELEVATE team, he worked as a technician across various disciplines in IADT’s Faculty of Film, Art + Creative Technologies. He also has more than a decade’s freelance experience in the creative and cultural sector, including technical and operational roles in the realms of visual arts and events production.
He is as comfortable collaborating with artists, curators and production teams, as he is supporting academics and researchers with technical aspects of their work. He is a co-founder of Secret Sonic Cinematheque, an experimental musical cinema event series, and has had artwork exhibited at Fubar Glitch Art Festival in Zagreb, and Halftone Print Fair in Dublin.

The TU RISE IADT Elevate Programme hosted an XR Design Sprint bringing together enterprises and creative practitioners to explore real-world applications of immersive technologies through collaborative, hands-on innovation. Over five days, participants developed early-stage concepts across education, culture and creative industries, supported by design thinking and industry expertise.
