SIT STAND SMOKE Showcased at Droga5 Through Elevate Programme
The TU RISE IADT Elevate Programme team were delighted to bring SIT STAND SMOKE, an immersive film experience by IADT Dún Laoghaire‘s David Keating and Linda Curtin of Immersive Ireland, to Droga5 Dublin‘s office last week for a day of knowledge sharing and industry-academic exchange.
Developed using 360° stereoscopic video and volumetric capture, SIT STAND SMOKE demonstrates the interdisciplinary experimentation that sits at the heart of IADT’s role in Ireland’s creative industries ecosystem. Hosted through our Elevate Innovate Lab initiative, the day created space for Droga5/Accenture Song team members to experience the work, followed by rich dialogue on immersive practice, collaborative R&D, and prototyping.
This reflects TU RISE ELEVATE’s focus on meaningful higher education-enterprise exchange.

Building Entrepreneurial Skills Through The IADT Student Accelerator Programme
The TU RISE IADT Elevate Programme hosted an XR Design Sprint bringing together enterprises and creative practitioners to explore real-world applications of immersive technologies through collaborative, hands-on innovation. Over five days, participants developed early-stage concepts across education, culture and creative industries, supported by design thinking and industry expertise.
