Dr Rachel Clarke

Dr. Rachel Clarke is the Programme Manager for ELEVATE, an initiative funded through the TU Research and Innovation Supporting Enterprise (TU RISE) scheme. Before joining IADT, Rachel worked with the Irish Research Council (IRC), where she managed a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme focused on public health crises, as well as a Digital Humanities programme co-funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), UK and the IRC.
Rachel holds a PhD from the School of Biosystems Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD), awarded in 2017. Her doctoral research centred on emerging contaminants and their risks to human health and the environment. She also holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy and Green Technologies, also from UCD.
She has published extensively across peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings, and has presented her research at both national and international conferences.
Rachel’s interests lie in environmental issues and theatre.
